KW is RSF
A card for my lecturer/mentor/colleague/friend. She goes by RSF and she likes bunnies. And she's pretty damn awesome.
Hamyu
Hamyu = Salted Fish = name of my ex-colleague. He tends to hug this ragged looking moose doll in the office...
Candyman
Was listening to Christina Aguilera's Candyman. So I decided to make one of my own Candy Man Sailor!
Town of Much: Mayor
The Mayor of a town that I was working on.. A cross between a pirate and a diva.
Town of Much
The town of which the Pirate-Diva-Mayour is in charge of - actually still in the midst of a WIP.
Trianjoycegle
Quick creation of a face made out of triangles. Then I subtly inserted my name into the word Triangle. Genius.
Birthday Card
I know right, I draw a lot of cards for my colleagues :P She wanted a frog, and I thought the praying frog was the CUTEST, so I refered to a statue image I found.
Birthday Card
It was my colleague Yippie's birthday, and she insisted on a picture of a pig. I copied her costume for our office 80's Christmas party!
Red Doll
I was browsing through some artworks online, and I just wanted to try a brush-colouring-technique I saw applied on some work. Attemps on mimicking, not quite successful but I'm quite happy with the outcome!
Candy Girl
Saw some colourful beads on the internet, and I just had to draw a person wearing beads.
Birthday Bunny
A thank you artwork for the birthday wishes. The reason why the balloon has a cutout of Domo-kun's mouth was because my colleauges posed with a cut-out version and compiled it as my desktop wallpaper, ha! I think bunnies are very cute.
Birthday Card
A card for my ex-lecturer/current colleague :) It was her birthday and she loves bunnies! She had red hair at that time as well, heh!
Messi
Super rushed work. A proposed idea which got rejected, so it ended up in my scraps folder.. might refine it later. I haven't been doing vectors for a very long time when I did this, so it was a bit of a struggle, heh.
Huzzah
I've been feeling a bit depleted lately - illustration/colourful-colours speaking. Sketched this out during a sermon in church, digitized it when I had the time and it felt GOOD.
Majesty
Not feeling very creative, I must say. But I needed a break from corporate-related work! Started off with the typo, worked my way to the visual. This is how a king should look like, in my opinion.
Fisherman
His expression is due to the fact that he just won the fishing competition and that he's got a fish in his pants. I'm no good with lighting/shadows, but I had to try! Good to know that brighter highlights make you look fat. Last illustration before I start working.
Barley
I started off with the hat, and it just went on from there. He looked like someone whose name would start with a "B", and I don't know why I called him Barley. I don't even like the drink. Or the taste. Ah
Camel
I swear it's a camel and not a person wearing a turban. People just don't believe me. Simple illustration using happy colours.
Al Hombre
This is a refined version of Al Hombre, and the initial one he REALLY looked like an Al Hombre to me! I could already see the pinata in the background. After refinement, he just looks like someone with a slappable face.
Joycebean.net version 2
An illustration with no direction in mind. Used it for my layout, which I didn't fancy much, but I really enjoyed this piece! Especially the colours.
Wish you were here
This illustration actually forms the alphabet "J", for Joyce.
Jiayou
Jiayou is a term which means "keep going" in chinese. Did this super quick illustration during Lee Chong Wei's match in the Beijing Olympics, and this was my form of support. Heh.
